I spent the afternoon chatting with Bruce Morrison of Freeverse regarding their upcoming title which was shown at the iPhone Launch Party, Warp Gate. A game that is sounding more and more ambitious each time I hear about it, Warp Gate is a galactic conquest and trading game that is working up to having an amazing amount of depth for an iPhone game.
Players will master commodity markets, battle space pirates, and meet several friendly and hostile alien species. Featuring a fluid and ever changing economy, 6 warring factions including 2 alien species, a full arsenal of weapons including lasers, missiles, shields and beams, all spread over a galaxy of more than 75 planets and space stations in 32 star systems.
Bootant's Crazy Choppers [App Store] came out a few days ago, and since then has generated a bit of a fan following on our forums. With simple tilt controls, a basic upgrade system, and five different locales to decimate various enemy vehicles, Crazy Choppers is a steal at 99¢.

On Wednesday we posted a series of screenshots we got from Freeverse of their upcoming galactic conquest and trading game, Warp Gate. After the eager response both in the comments and on our forums, we went back to Freeverse and asked if they had anything else they could show us, especially since the video we included previously was from before WWDC last month.

Archon is hailed as a perfect hybrid of strategy and fast-action combat. You take control of either the Light or Dark team, each with their unique line-up of creatures. Strategically move your pieces on the chess-like board to capture squares. If you move onto an enemy square however, real-time battle ensues in the Combat Arena! Westbang is a reaction tap-shooter in which you have become sheriff of a small town and your job is to take out the bandits. But, don't just dismiss the game as just another tap-shooter, as Westbang successfully manages to leverage its simple mechanic into a very enjoyable game.

Tag Games has released a major update to its GTA-like urban action RPG Car Jack Streets [App Store] and extended the game's $.99 sale price.
